Video: Chicago lineman shines at Illini camp

2018 offensive lineman Verdis Brown from Chicago Mt. Carmel recently picked up an offer from the Fighting Illini while on a visit to Champaign.

The 6-foot-4, 290-p0und Brown was a standout on Friday at the Illini's satellite camp at Gately Stadium in Chicago.

Brown worked out as a defensive lineman at the camp, and though is a bit raw at the postion, he was easily one of the top performers.

Recruiting analyst Beth Long caught up with Brown following his outstanding performance.
